Good Morning Darlings and Happy Monday, today we want to share with you 101 - how to get in and out of your wedding dress on your wedding day. It's one of those things that doesn't cross your mind until you try on your wedding gown at your final fitting! We've got all the tips and tricks on what you can do to make this process a lot easier on wedding day. So let's get into it....
Assign a member of your Bridal Party
That's right, it's always best to assign one person in your bridal party to help you get in and out of your wedding dress. When you've chosen who you want, it's best to take this person along to your final wedding dress fitting with you. The bridal store will be able to explain and show exactly how your dress needs to be done up and opened, it doesn't necessarily mean that you have to completely take it off, but it may be worth considering! It really depends on how large the wedding dress is, and how easy it can be to hold up when you need a toilet break.
Consider a Hoop
Yes you heard correct, a hoop! They work wonders when it comes to holding up your dress to let you go for a toilet break. With your assigned member of your bridal party, just get them to hold the hoop by your feet whilst you step into it. They simply need the pull the hoop up and get the main netting and skirt of the dress out of the way. Simple, yet very effective.
Do everything backwards
We know that sounds strange, but trust us, it works. When getting out of your wedding car, you will need to get out by reversing how you got into the car. It makes it 10 times easier when doing it this way, and avoids any mishaps. You will need assistance if your wedding dress is quite large, so just ensure you have a couple of members of your bridal party with you.
Get a wedding coordinator
Believe it or not, this is exactly what sets us aside from your average "venue coordinator". At Concept Coordination we go above and beyond what is needed to ensure you can enjoy you day and relax. We have many a times helped brides getting into their bridal gowns, pinned them, and even done emergency hems! Rest assured, we can also help you go to the bathroom if needed! It wouldn't be a first for us. If you feel like a wedding coordinator in Sussex would help you, please get in touch.
